breakfast smoothies

is it still a smoothie if I have to spoon feed her? technically… smoothies are so stupid easy to make (especially if you have an awesome munchkin fresh food maker like we do) you’ll seriously be asking yourself why the hell didn’t you figure this out sooner? just think, you can trick your babies into eating more vegetables the same way you trick yourself! seriously, this is the only way I can get her to eat her iron fortified cereal anymore…

we make our smoothies with grass-fed homo milk, since we are trying to boost her milk intake and she’s not a fan of it on her own. obviously you should feel free to use whatever liquid base you chose – formula, breast milk, soy or almond, even coconut! I don’t recommend juice because of all the extra sugar. dylan doesn’t need that added energy, and your little probably doesn’t either!

ingredients

1 organic banana
1/4 cup pineapple
2 tbsp milk or formula
2 tbsp iron fortified baby cereal

put all ingredients into processor bowl and blend until smooth.

if you want to mix it up a bit, freeze your fruit before hand.
